Bryant Park’s Winter Poetry put on by the Bryant Park Reading Room continued with its February session held at Kinokuniya New York on 2/21. The poets of New Directions Press were featured including as they appeared in alphabetical order Mei Mei Berssenbrugge, Thalia Field, Susan Howe and Michael Palmer. As the New Directions representative highlighted at the beginning, they haven’t had this combination of distinguished New Directions poets collected at one time before.

All of the readings were powerful and Thalia Field brought a professional dramatic reader with her to add a very effective extra dimension to her reading. The event was well attended as weather was also very kind.  The next Bryant Park winter reading to be held at Kinokuniya New York will be on March 21st featuring poets with Copper Canyon Press.
