Reward Card
Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the issuance and use of Kinokuniya Member Reward Cards (“Reward Cards”) issued by Kinokuniya Book Stores of America ((hereinafter referred to as “Kinokuniya”)).

Reward Cards are promotional rewards issued to members and are not Gift Cards, prepaid cards, or credit cards. They carry no cash value and are governed by the terms below.

1. Eligibility and Issuance

  • Reward Cards are issued exclusively to active Kinokuniya Members enrolled in the Kinokuniya Membership Program.

  • Members earn one (1) Reward Card valued at $10 for every $300 spent on eligible merchandise at Kinokuniya retail locations in the United States or through Kinokuniya’s official U.S. online store.

  • Reward value is calculated after discounts and before taxes, shipping, or fees.

  • Reward Cards may be delivered electronically (e-Reward) or as a physical card.

  • Kinokuniya may modify the reward value, earning rate, or eligibility criteria at any time.

2. Redemption

  • Reward Cards may be redeemed at any Kinokuniya retail location in the United States or through Kinokuniya’s official U.S. online store.

  • To redeem, the individual must present a Kinokuniya membership card or provide the registered membership number associated with the Reward Card.

  • Reward Cards may be redeemed even after the member’s Kinokuniya Membership has expired, provided the Reward Card itself remains valid and unredeemed.

  • Reward Cards cannot be transferred, sold, gifted, assigned, or combined with another person’s rewards or account.

  • Reward Cards cannot be used to purchase Gift Cards.

  • Reward Cards cannot be redeemed for cash, credit, or check and have no cash value.

  • Redemption is limited to the individual to whom the Reward Card was originally issued.

3. No Expiration or Fees

  • Reward Cards do not expire, and no service, inactivity, or maintenance fees apply.

  • Reward Cards remain valid until fully redeemed, regardless of the status of the member’s Kinokuniya Membership, unless the Reward Card is canceled due to fraud, abuse, or program termination by Kinokuniya.

4. Lost, Stolen, or Misused Reward Cards

Kinokuniya is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or unauthorized use of Reward Cards. At our sole discretion, Kinokuniya may issue a replacement upon verification of valid membership details and qualifying purchase history.

5. Modification or Termination

Kinokuniya reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Reward Card program or these Terms at any time, with or without notice. If the program is terminated, Kinokuniya may, at its discretion, continue to honor unredeemed Reward Cards for a limited period following termination.

6. Limitation of Liability

Reward Cards, whether issued in physical or electronic form, are provided “as is,” without any warranties, express or implied. To the extent permitted by law, Kinokuniya is not responsible for the quality, legality, or any other aspect of the items purchased with the Reward Card and Kinokuniya’s total liability for any Reward Card will not exceed the value stored on that Reward Card at the time the claim arises.
