In recent decades, Seneca's works - especially his tragedies - have experienced a remarkable resurgence of scholarly interest. This renewed attention is reflected in a growing body of translations, commentaries, and critical studies, underscoring the enduring relevance of his literary and philosophical contributions.
Yet, despite these advances, Senecan studies remain open to further exploration. New questions, perspectives, and interdisciplinary approaches continue to shed light on his complex oeuvre.
This volume brings together contributions that engage with Seneca's works in this spirit of critical openness and innovation. Building on recent scholarship across historical, philosophical, and literary domains, the chapters offer fresh readings and reassess key aspects of his thought and style.
By doing so, the collection seeks not only to reflect the vitality of current research but also to contribute to shaping the future of Senecan studies, reaffirming his significance as statesman, philosopher, and dramatist.
