This publication is an update of IAEA TECDOC Series No. 1120. It provides current ageing management guidance for pressurized water reactor (PWR) pressure vessels and is directed at all those involved in the operation and regulation of PWRs. It provides the technical basis for managing the ageing of PWR and pressurized heavy water pressure vessels to ensure that the required safety and operational margins are maintained throughout the plant service life.
