Kinokuniya came to the Lone Star State just last year and is already a destination for people in the region. We often get visitors from as far away as other states in the US and from all over Texas. There continues to be a lot of interest in the Dallas area as word spreads that we are the source for books, magazines, and quality products in Japanese and English.

Manga and anime merchandise are some of our biggest sellers. It is common for cosplayers to come in costume to shop and meet up with friends. Who knew that Dallas is also the home of the Japanese anime distribution and the main voice-over studio in the US. Our biggest events so far have been the anime festivals with local artists, cosplayers and voice actors from the most popular anime series.

People also come in to check out our Japanese pens and stationery. Some already know the reputation for quality that many Japanese brands carry. Just as many of our customers discover them in the store. Our store is also filled with various non-book goods with cute characters on them. People do not need to know Japanese to enjoy our store and products.

We want our store to be a meeting place for the local community, so hosting multicultural events for everyone in the area is very important. We have regular events scheduled with local authors and artists.

Kinokuniya Carrollton is working hard to become a part of the local community as a destination for the newest books from Japan and the US, as well as wonderful gifts and products that you cannot get anywhere else.
