Japanese Magazine Subscription Policy

1.  Price and Payment:

We offer a special discounted price for magazine subscriptions. Kinokuniya Membership discount or points will not be applied to the subscription fee. All subscriptions must be prepaid in full at the time of purchase. We will not charge or refund additional fees caused by the exchange rate fluctuate during the subscription period.
定期購読の料金には特別割引が適応されております。紀伊國屋書店メンバーシップの割引およびポイント付与は対象外となります。お支払いは前金制となります。購読期間中に弊社価格レートの変動による値上げ、値下げがあった場合でも、追加徴収またはご返金は致しません。

2. Delivery:

All magazines are transported by air.　 毎号、航空便を利用して手配しております。

• Home Delivery
  Free shipping does not apply for magazine subscriptions, and we only ship to U.S. domestic addresses. You will receive a tracking number by email when your magazine is shipped from our warehouse in Chicago. It may take up to 5 to 10 business days to be delivered after it is published.
  送料無料の特典はございません。アメリカ国内の配送に限ります。ご自宅への配送には、出版日から5-10営業日かかることがございます。シカゴ倉庫から発送後、Eメールにてトラッキング番号をお知らせ致します。
  
  

• In-Store Pickup
  There will be no shipping fee for In-Store Pickup. You will receive a notification by email when it is ready at the store. We will keep your magazines for up to six months from the day of the arrival. Some stores are not available for In-Store pickup service.
  店頭受け取りでは、店頭でのお受け取り準備ができ次第、該当店舗からご連絡を差し上げます。店頭受け取りの場合、送料はかかりません。お受け取りまでの店頭保管期間は最長6ヶ月間とさせていただきます。一部の店舗は店頭お受け取りサービスを実施していない場合がございます。

4.  Renewal:
We do not process the renewal of subscriptions automatically.  We will send a renewal notice via email or USPS letter approximately two (2) months before the end of your subscription. 
定期購読の自動更新は行いません。購読期間終了の2ヶ月前を目処に更新案内をEmailまたはレターにてお送り致します。

5. We reserve the right to refuse service, decline or terminate subscriptions to magazines that contain pornography, child pornography, and/or have gifts attached that may violate U.S. regulations, or incur legal obstacles.

ポルノ、児童ポルノなど、米国における法律・規制に抵触する恐れのある雑誌、及び米国の定める品質基準に満たない可能性のある雑誌付録に関しては、お申し込みや、実際の送付をお断りする場合がございます。

6. Delays, Damages, and Missing Issues:

• We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs inspections, inclement weather conditions, or other environmental factors. 
  通関手続きの遅れや天候、輸送中の事故により発生する商品入荷の遅延については、弊社では責任を負いかねます。

• Claims for missing or damaged issues must be made within three months from the publication date to be honored a free replacement copy or other ways of compensation.
  雑誌の未着および雑誌にダメージがあった場合は、雑誌の発売日から3ヶ月以内にご連絡ください。無料で再手配または相当する補填を行います。
  
  

7.  Cancellation and Refund:

• Cancellations are not accepted for magazine subscriptions. However, we may accept cancellations in unavoidable circumstances, such as unexpected international relocations.  In such cases, we will give a refund for the remaining issues, based on the total amount of your subscription fee minus the regular in-store price of any issues already delivered.
  原則として途中解約不可となります。米国外への移住など、止むを得ない事情の場合、途中解約を承ります。その場合、すでにお引き渡し済みの雑誌に関しまして、通常店頭価格でのご請求とさせていただきます。ご返金額は、「申し込み時にお支払い頂いた総額」から「お引渡し済みの各号の通常店頭価格の合計」を差し引いた金額になります。
  
  <Example> 
  If you purchased a 12-month subscription for $108, your "per issue" price would be $9 ($9 X 12 issues = $108.)  The refund amount, however, will be based on the regular in-store price.  If the in-store price of the magazine is $10 per issue, and you have received 6 of the 12 issues before your cancellation, your refund would be; $108 - ($10 X 6 undelivered issues) = $48.
  

• If a publisher discontinues a magazine or terminates its business, we will give a refund based on the subscription “per issue” price.
  休刊、または出版社の倒産など、出版社側の都合による途中解約につきましては、すでにお引き渡し済みの雑誌に関しまして、定期購読特別割引後価格でのご請求とさせていただきます。ご返金額は、「申し込み時にお支払い頂いた総額」から「お引渡し済みの各号の特別割引価格の合計」を差し引いた金額になります。
  
  <Example>
  If you purchased a 12-month subscription for $108, your "per issue" price would be $9 ($9 X 12 issues = $108.)  If you have received 6 issues, your refund would be;
  $108 - ($9 X 6 undelivered issues) = $54
